The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has launched this year's "Mosaic Taiwan" program (International Young Leaders Seminar), inviting young elites from the United States and Canada to study and visit Taiwan. Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung posted on social media, stating that Taiwan is a trustworthy partner for the world and a force for good in the international community. He hopes the participants will have a fruitful journey, make new friends in Taiwan, spark new ideas, and broaden their horizons, piecing together their own unique puzzle of Taiwan.

The MOFA's "Mosaic Taiwan" program for this year commenced on the 16th, personally presided over by Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung. He posted on Facebook, saying that the name "Mosaic Taiwan" is well-chosen and echoes the spirit of the program. A mosaic is an image pieced together from individual tiles, and understanding Taiwan, or any country or city, is similar. It might be a tour, or it could be at school, in the industry, meeting someone, or having a conversation. When these fragments come together, they form a unique Taiwan in each person's heart.
The "International Young Leaders Seminar" series began in 2009 as the "Taiwan Camp." In 2014, the seminar for participants from North America was named "Mosaic Taiwan." Although the name has changed, the core objective remains the same: to strengthen the understanding and support of young leaders from North America for Taiwan, and to sow seeds of friendship between the new generations of youth in Taiwan, the US, and Canada.
Lin Chia-lung pointed out that "Mosaic Taiwan" invites young friends from the US and Canada to Taiwan for exchange. Over the years, many foreign youths who understand and care about Taiwan have been cultivated. This year, participants are specially arranged to learn about Taiwan from various perspectives, including democratic values, AI, semiconductors, and social resilience.
Lin Chia-lung told the seminar participants that Taiwan is a trustworthy partner for the world and a force for good in the international community. Despite facing pressure and challenges from authoritarian expansion, Taiwan remains steadfast in its democratic freedom and human rights values, and continues to work hand-in-hand with like-minded countries for a peaceful, prosperous, and more resilient future. Lin Chia-lung said: "(Original sound) Taiwan is a force for good in the international community, a reliable and responsible member of the international community."
Lin Chia-lung also encouraged all participants to ask questions, observe, and chat frequently during their visit to Taiwan. Through repeated interactions and exchanges, the beautiful image of Taiwan will gradually build up in their hearts, becoming three-dimensional and vibrant.
