Regarding the content where Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Nepalese Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal undermined our country's sovereignty during their talks, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (16th) sternly refuted and condemned it. It also warned the new Nepalese government to seriously face China's long-term threat to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, and that echoing China's "One China Principle," which is used to harm peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, is detrimental to Nepal. #Reporter Wang Zhaokun's interview report# Nepal's new Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal visited Beijing. According to information on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi "praised Nepal for firmly adhering to the One China Principle." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Wang Yi, in his interaction with Khanal, disregarded objective international facts and fallaciously claimed the "One China Principle." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its stern refutation and condemnation of this. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates that the Republic of China, Taiwan, is a sovereign and independent country, not subordinate to the People's Republic of China. Any false narrative attempting to undermine Taiwan's sovereign status cannot change this undeniable fact. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasizes that Taiwan is willing to continue cooperating with all countries that support freedom, democracy, and human rights to jointly and firmly safeguard peace and security in the Taiwan Strait and jointly maintain freedom and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Chen Yijun, Deputy Executive Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Public Affairs Department, said: "(Original sound) Peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait are key to the security and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region. Moving forward, Taiwan will uphold the concept of comprehensive diplomacy and work hand-in-hand with like-minded countries to maintain a rules-based international order and jointly promote democratic, peaceful, and prosperous development in the Indo-Pacific region." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also warns the new Nepalese government to seriously face China's long-term threat to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, which is crucial for the security and prosperity of Nepal and the entire world. It should also recognize China's expansionist actions in many regions and countries globally, its use of various improper means to push many countries into debt traps, and its persecution of ethnic minorities and suppression of religious freedom within its borders.
