[Politics] 6th Trip to Europe: Lin Chia-lung to Visit Poland for Taiwan Image Exhibition

In the two years since taking office, Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung has publicly visited European countries five times. In an exclusive interview on Formosa Television's "News Observation Post" program aired today (20th), he revealed the destination of his sixth trip to Europe: the "Europe Taiwan Image Exhibition" to be held next week in Warsaw, Poland.
Lin stated that this exhibition, organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), covers fields such as AI, smart cities, and healthcare, areas where Taiwan possesses complete solutions. More importantly, the Polish Foreign Minister has mentioned in parliament the desire to develop a strategic partnership with Taiwan in technology, which allows Taiwan to continue to engage with the world.
Regarding the visit of Legislative Yuan Speaker Han Kuo-yu to the United States, Lin pointed out that Taiwanese public opinion supports the defense budget, "but due to the sabotage by (Kuomintang Chairwoman) Cheng Li-wen and a few others," even the drone budget was cut. Therefore, with the US Congress currently in session, inviting our Legislative Yuan Speaker to lead a cross-party delegation to the US is appropriate because they are "more moderate and can better represent the majority opinion of Taiwan." He believes this will also bring positive benefits to future Taiwan-US relations.
