As of around 2 PM, Yujing District in Tainan City reached a high of 39.2 degrees Celsius, while parts of Taipei and Hualien exceeded 38 degrees Celsius. The Central Meteorological Agency updated its high-temperature information this afternoon, stating that the weather is hot and sunny across the island. Taitung County has already experienced Föhn winds. Today, Tainan City and Pingtung County are under a red alert, with warnings of continuous extreme high temperatures of 38 degrees. Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Hualien County are under an orange alert, with the possibility of localized extreme high temperatures of 38 degrees.
