The National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall sincerely invites all international students to participate in this annual event. Not only can you showcase your Chinese language learning achievements, but you also have the chance to win generous prizes! Here's a summary of the contest information: 💰 Generous Prizes Await You The competition offers multiple awards to encourage everyone to speak up: * First Prize: NT$20,000 and a certificate (1 winner) * Second Prize: NT$16,000 and a certificate (1 winner) * Third Prize: NT$12,000 and a certificate (1 winner) * Fourth Prize: NT$8,000 and a certificate (1 winner) * Excellence Award: NT$6,000 and a certificate (6 winners) (Note: According to tax laws, a 20% income tax will be deducted from the prize money) 🗣️ Five Major Speech Topics (Choose One) 1. If There Were a Pill for Regret in the World ✍️ Who Can Register? * International students aged 18 and above studying in Taiwan (excluding students from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and overseas Chinese students). * Exclusions: Winners of the top 4 prizes in the 2025 competition; individuals whose native language is Mandarin, or whose parents' native language is Mandarin; or individuals whose country's official language is Mandarin. 🗓️ Important Event Schedule * Registration Period: September 1 to October 12, 2026 (Year 115 of the Republic of China calendar) * Competition Date: November 17, 2026 (Tuesday) starting at 10:00 AM * Venue: B1 Audiovisual Room, Taiwan Traditional Theatre Center Music Hall (No. 751, Wenlin Road, Shilin District, Taipei City) 🚀 How to Register? (Limited to 60 participants, first come, first served!) 1. Mail-in Registration Only: Please send your application via registered mail to "Promotion and Service Division, National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall" (No. 505, Section 4, Ren'ai Road, Xinyi District, Taipei City). 2. Required Documents: Completed application form, a copy of your passport, and an official seal from your school or institution. 3. Registration Order: Based on the timestamp when the organizing unit receives the application. ⚠️ Helpful Reminders * Time Limit: Speeches should be between 4-5 minutes.
