The National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) on the 2nd demonstrated robot dogs derived from the US company Ghost Robotics' platform, including "reconnaissance type," "firepower type," and "LiDAR type." These can be used in the future for frontline reconnaissance, alert patrols, fixed-point defense, and executing high-risk missions, effectively reducing personnel exposure to battlefields and dangerous environments. Regarding whether the military will adopt robot dogs, NCSIST stated that they will be gradually promoted according to the needs of each military camp in the future. NCSIST today unveiled multi-functional robot dogs. These robot dogs are based on the platform of the US military's current supplier, "Ghost Robotics Vision 60 robot dog," combined with independently developed mission payloads such as "optoelectronic reconnaissance, remote-controlled weapon stations, and LiDAR combined with thermal imaging recognition." They possess reconnaissance, patrol, alert, and target monitoring capabilities.
